SEFAN was awarded
£10,800 subsidy support from
Arts Council England, South East
PLUS
£1,000 grant from
Brighton and Hove City Council
through their Arts Partnership

for part of SEFAN's Audience Development Programme

'AN ALTERNATIVE TASTE'
gave small, intimate
(often completely acoustic) performances by Traditional Artists in unexpected places
where non-folk audiences will be present or passing.

Presenting Folk to new audiences, the aim was to entertain with a light touch — enriching venue ambience whilst developing new audiences for the rich Traditional Arts in our region.

Originally planned to cover only the 2005 Christmas/ Panto season up to St. George's Day —
ACE,SE generously extended the subsidy period through to Sept 2006.

SEFAN hopes to repeat this Audience Development Programme sometime in the future.
